While you’re hunting

Nothing is asked of you and nothing identifies you. Which pumpkins you’ve found is stored on your own phone, not on our servers. Clear your browser data and the hunt starts over.

We count anonymous activity — how many hunts start and finish, and which signs fail to scan — so we know which sign needs moving or cleaning. That counting uses a random number generated by your phone. It is not linked to you, your name, or your email.

If you ask for the guide

At the end of the hunt you can ask us to email your pumpkin guide. If you do, we keep the email address, the first name you typed, and which pumpkins you found.

We use it to send that one email. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not send you anything else, and we do not pass it to anyone else.

A grown-up should fill that form in, not a child.

How long we keep it

Everything from this year’s hunt is deleted at the end of the season. If you’d like your address removed sooner, ask anyone at Mr Pumpkin and it will be.
